History
James and Andrew were in band at school and thought it would be sick to make a ska band. (Andrew actually brought it up in the library while they were procrastinating...) The original band was called MACH 25, but it was deemed not ska enough and the search for a new name began. James and Andrew pondered this tough question for a long time. One night, Andrew remembered a childhood hero...Jonny Quest(!) and his family from the aptly-named TV show "Jonny Quest". The next day he told James, and Johnny & the Quests was born. With only a bass, a trombone, a sax, and a soon-to-be melodica, there was a problem - no guitar or drums. That's where Mike came in - he plays a mean guitar and dabbles in drumming. Fortunately for the band, however, a permanent drummer was found in the form of Emma, a strange, rabidly obsessed Beatle nerd who knew Mike through his sister and was happy to jump aboard the ska train! We have the beginnings of a great ska band and with an upcoming stream of fantastic songs, Johnny & the Quests can't go wrong.
